THE LONG WAY HOME
A FILM BY OKEEBA JUBALO

Okeeba Jubalo is an artist, father, husband, son, brother, community leader, activist, innovator, and visionary. For nearly thirty years, Okeeba has been at the forefront of the creative process, not only as an artist but also as a curator for the culture.

A son of Charleston who was raised in North Charleston, Okeeba went out into the world in 1993 and created himself from the ground up. In a world fueled by nepotism and backdoor deals, he built himself by using the core values he developed within his beloved city of North Charleston.

Tough, gritty and charming are all words used to describe Okeeba Jubalo. The Long Way Home tells the story of a true generational genius at work who made the decision to come back home from Atlanta, Georgia and beyond. Okeeba has an intentional focus being used to build North Charleston into a city the community can be proud of.

Welcome to the NEW NORTH CHARLESTON.
