Who We Are

Katrina S. Crawford is a photographer, videographer, and visual historian guided by the belief that the most powerful stories are not staged, they are lived. A Charleston native, born and raised, her work carries the rhythms, histories, and layered beauty of the Lowcountry, shaped by a deep reverence for place and people.

After completing her studies at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Crawford returned home to Charleston, where her creative voice continues to be informed by the culture and community that raised her. Her imagery reflects a quiet attentiveness to memory, presence, and the spaces where life unfolds.

Known for her grounded approach and instinct for genuine connection, Crawford creates images that do more than document moments; they honor the truth within them. Her work exists at the intersection of culture, community, and memory, preserving not only how moments look, but how they feel long after they pass.

As the founder of Katrina S. Crawford Photography, she approaches portraiture, events, and lifestyle work with a documentary sensibility shaped by years of listening closely, observing patiently, and building trust. Drawn to stories of legacy, identity, and the beauty found in everyday life, her camera becomes a bridge, allowing subjects to be seen with honesty, dignity, and care.

In 2023, Crawford expanded her storytelling into real estate, becoming a licensed real estate professional and adding a new dimension to her practice. Whether photographing or selling a space, she approaches homes as living archives, layered with history, possibility, and the imprints of the lives within them.

As a contributing partner to this coffee table book, Crawford brings a practice rooted in authenticity, curiosity, and cultural reverence. Her images invite viewers to slow down, lean in, and remain present. For her, meaningful photographs are not taken, they are earned through trust, intention, and connection.

Okeeba Jubalo is a dynamic force at the intersection of art and commerce. A community leader, activist, and CEO, Okeeba brings over 30 years of expertise in branding, marketing, and the fine arts to his role as a catalyst for cultural growth. From the urban landscape of Atlanta to the coastal heritage of South Carolina, he has consistently blazed trails that elevate both artists and entrepreneurs.

Through his agency, NobleSol Art Group, and his portfolio of publications—including Young Black Entrepreneur, The Charleston Compass, and The Park Circle Quarterly—Okeeba has engineered platforms for visibility and economic empowerment. His professional footprint includes high-impact collaborations with prestigious entities such as the Morehouse College National Alumni Association, the City of Atlanta, and the Los Angeles Sparks.

A multidisciplinary creative, Okeeba’s work spans performance art, music executive leadership, and fine art curation. Since returning to his roots in 2021, he has spearheaded a cultural renaissance in North Charleston, establishing his flagship gallery and the Global Art Fair to transform the region into a premier hub for African American arts and culture.

In his latest visionary collaboration with photographer Katrina S. Crawford, Okeeba is set to elevate the region’s narrative with "Lowcountry Legends." This landmark coffee table book serves as a sophisticated testament to the excellence thriving within the community. Through a curated journey of photography and editorial storytelling, the project champions the local legends whose influence resonates on a national and global scale.
